The glorious journey of the the Commerce Department started in the year of 1964 with BCom Commerce with one faculty member. In 1978 the Department of Higher Education Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, taken over this college.

Department of Commerce is a Research Centre approved and declared since 2022 by Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University Chhatarpur. At present .............. scholars of Ph.D. programme are registered in the Department. The department has BBA course.
