The glorious journey of the the Department of History started in the year of 1964 with BA Elective History with one faculty member. In 1978 the Department of Higher Education Govt. of Madhya Pradesh taken over this college.

At present we are having undergraduate course and post graduate program in History.

PG programme is run as self finance basis.

Department of History is a approved Research Centre since 2022 by Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University Chhatarpur. At present 07 scholars of Ph.D. programme are registered in the Department.
